Kainos editorial journal · 2026
Terms of service · 2026
1. Agreement
These terms govern use of the Kainos website from 5 October 2026. By browsing, you agree to use the publication lawfully and respectfully. If you do not accept them, please stop using the site.
2. Editorial information
Kainos provides general education about performance and healthy aging. Articles are not medical diagnosis, treatment, emergency guidance, or a substitute for a clinician who knows your history.
3. Safe use
Do not begin strenuous activity solely because of an article. Seek professional advice for symptoms, known conditions, medication questions, or uncertainty about exercise readiness. Stop activity and seek urgent care for serious warning signs.
4. Intellectual property
Text, design, names, and original editorial presentation belong to Kainos or its licensors. You may link to pages and quote brief passages with attribution. Republishing substantial material requires written permission.
5. Reader submissions
When you send a message, you confirm it is yours to share and does not unlawfully disclose another person’s confidential information. You grant permission for Kainos to use it to respond and administer the publication.
6. Accuracy
We work to keep pages clear and current, but research changes and errors can occur. Dates and revisions are shown where practical. Contact the desk if a statement needs correction.
7. Third parties
Links to external websites are provided for reader convenience. Kainos does not control their content, availability, privacy practices, or professional qualifications. Review their terms before relying on them.
8. Availability
We may update, suspend, or remove pages for maintenance, security, legal reasons, or editorial review. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access or that every link will remain available.
9. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Kainos is not responsible for loss arising from reliance on general information, interrupted access, or third-party content. Nothing limits rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
10. Governing context
These terms are presented for a publication operated from Jakarta, Indonesia. Any dispute should first be raised with the Kainos desk so the facts can be reviewed in good faith.
11. Changes
The current version is dated 5 October 2026. Changes will be recorded with a new date and will apply prospectively where required. Continued browsing after a revision indicates awareness of the updated text.
Examples of acceptable use include reading, linking to an article, sending a factual correction, and subscribing or unsubscribing through the available controls. Unacceptable use includes attempting to disrupt delivery, scraping personal correspondence, impersonating Kainos, submitting unlawful material, or using the publication to pressure another person. If a concern is reported, Kainos may temporarily limit access while reviewing logs and relevant messages.
Questions about these terms can be sent to Jl. Kebon Jeruk Raya No. 120, RT.005/RW.007, Kebon Jeruk, Jakarta Barat, DKI Jakarta 11530, Indonesia, or +62 21 7891 0345. We aim to acknowledge correspondence within 7 business days. The governing approach is intended to respect applicable Indonesian law, and revisions are recorded by date; the current review date is 5 October 2026.
The agreement covers browsing, linking, contacting the desk, subscribing to editorial correspondence, and using any interactive feature made available on the site. A visitor may read material for personal or internal informational purposes and may share a link that preserves the source. Access can be restricted where conduct threatens security, unlawfully copies substantial material, or interferes with another reader's use. A restriction does not remove obligations that arose before the restriction, including respect for intellectual property and confidentiality. The terms are reviewed against the site's actual features rather than applied to tools Kainos does not offer.
Editorial pages are written for general information and may not reflect a reader's complete circumstances, local rules, training environment, or professional history. A date on an article identifies the publication or review context, not a promise that every source remains unchanged. Readers should check the original source where a decision has significant consequences and should not treat a general explanation as a personal assessment. Kainos may correct, update, or withdraw an article when the source trail or context changes. These limitations apply equally to material copied into a private note or shared through a link.
Messages and submissions should be lawful, relevant, and limited to what is needed for the request. Kainos may retain a correspondence thread for up to 24 months after the last meaningful exchange so that a correction or follow-up can be understood. A request to remove a message can be sent to the desk, subject to records needed for security, legal compliance, or suppression of unwanted mail. We do not claim ownership of a reader's pre-existing work merely because it was sent to us. Any permission to quote or publish a submission should be specific and confirmed separately where publication is contemplated.
External services can have different terms, privacy notices, availability, and accessibility characteristics. A link is not an endorsement of every statement on the destination page and does not make Kainos responsible for a third party's later changes. Readers should review the destination's current information before relying on it. Service interruptions may arise from hosting, networks, maintenance, or events outside the editorial desk's control. Updates to these terms are posted on the page with a review date, and the current review date is 5 October 2026.
Questions, permissions, correction requests, and complaints may be sent to Jl. Kebon Jeruk Raya No. 120, RT.005/RW.007, Kebon Jeruk, Jakarta Barat, DKI Jakarta 11530, Indonesia, or +62 21 7891 0345. Kainos aims to acknowledge correspondence within 7 business days and provide a substantive response within 30 days when the matter can be assessed from the information supplied. A complaint should identify the page, relevant passage, and practical concern without including unnecessary personal information. Nothing in these terms removes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable Indonesian law.
